A Message from our Principal

My name is Mr. Giovanni Iammarrone, and I have been the Principal of James Lyng High School since July 2022. Prior to that, I was Principal and Vice-Principal at Westmount Park School for five and half years. I was also a high school teacher before becoming a school administrator. I am happy to be serving a high school community such as James Lyng High School, which is well known for its dedication to its students, their families, and outer community. I believe my most important role as a Principal is to help each student maximize their potential so that they are ready to contribute to society as they head into adulthood. I will take the time to get to know your children and I can assure you that the school team will always have their best interests at heart. We will celebrate their successes, small and large together. We will encourage them every day and let them know they are valued and have a special place in our school community. I look forward to meeting your children and working in partnership with you, our parents.

As a father myself, my goal is always to ensure that all students are happy, healthy, and safe. The main office and staff will be communicating this year primarily through email as this is the best and most environmentally friendly way to communicate in today’s day and age. I implore you to share your emails with the office so you can stay informed of any important information that might be sent out during this academic year.
